Assumptions

  1. The proposed operating referendum tax rate of $0.2737 would continue the existing operating referendum rate of $0.2737 for eight (8) years. The existing operating referendum tax rate of $0.2737 was approved in May 2017 and, should the proposed operating referendum be continued, the estimated annual net tax rate impact in 2024 is $0.0000.
  2. Real property assessments are adjusted annually due to changes in market conditions. Taxpayer liability will change in relation to changes in parcel gross assessed value.
  3. Homestead parcels are assumed to have a homestead and supplemental homestead deductions. Assumes no deductions for non-homestead properties.
  4. Calculations are based upon the proposed operating referendum tax rate of $0.2737 for 2024, which is equal to the 2023 certified operating referendum tax rate, per the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance.
