Welcome to Tri-County Jr./Sr. High School

Looking Forward to 2024

It is amazing how quickly our first semester of school has gone by. It seems like we were just meeting with students a few weeks ago to cover school policies. At Tri-County, we are fortunate to have a great group of students who are eager to learn in the classroom and have a desire to be involved in the many extracurricular activities that are offered. Much of the credit goes to our staff as they continue to find ways to engage students in their learning. As we approach the winter months, I look forward to the start of our second semester, especially for the Class of 2024 as this group begins planning for their futures after high school. This is an exciting time of year for both students and staff.

It is important for our stakeholders to know that at Tri-County, one of our goals is to expose students to the many different opportunities available after high school. The professions that await this generation are endless. It has been refreshing for me to observe the many different things happening in our classrooms to help prepare students. While our staff’s focus continues to be on student learning, an element of this is the building of relationships. Studies show that students learn when they have a connection to their teachers. The amount of time staff members spend outside the classroom helping students to be successful has been impressive. Our staff truly cares about the success of our students both in and out of the classroom, which is what makes us unique.

Outside the classroom, our students continue to represent the community in a positive manner through the many extracurricular activities we offer. The fall season produced a volleyball sectional championship (the first in over 30 years), a five win football season, a regional advancement for our girls cross country team, and several individual advancements for our boys team. These athletic accomplishments along with the success of our FFA teams in different competitions have really helped in creating a positive atmosphere in the building.

In closing, I want to thank everyone for their continued support of the entire school corporation. I encourage everyone to come out to one of the many events during the second semester that is happening in our building. I know that our students will definitely appreciate seeing you!

Wishing everyone in our community a safe and healthy 2024!!
